Dreampower was born 21 years ago, from the vision and creativity of Shari Woods. Shari is the mother of five children.(now all grown up) Shari understood the important role of imaginative play in kids lives and development.
Shari designed and hand-sewed her first costume masterpieces for her own children. They received such praise and interest from other kids and their parents, that she quickly saw the demand for her unique costume designs.
Dreampower was an immediate hit!
Thirteen years ago, after graduating with a degree in Fine Arts, daughter Sarah joined the Dream-life! Five years ago, Sarah's Maya was born. She has become one of our favourite costume models. Now Maya is joined by little sister Mac, one years old.
Shari and Sarah use the finest fabrics, and original designs to create heirloom quality, everyday-wearable dress-up clothes. At the craft shows we attend throughout southern Ontario, we sell our handmade costumes. At our store in St Jacobs, and through this website, we sell a combination of our own designs, and a selection of carefully chosen manufactured costumes.
While often imitated, Dreampower is proud to be: the original dress-up costume company!
